There is a temptation to go large. A hundred square metres sounds more impressive than nine. But the certificate looks identical on a wall either way, so the real question is what the purchase is for.
The tiers
Mars Colonia registers plots at ten dollars per square metre, with a few fixed tiers that cover most cases.

- Thirty six square metres, the standard tier most gifting lands on
- One hundred square metres, the estate tier for milestones and group gifts
How to choose
Buying for yourself out of curiosity, take the smallest one. You will get the full experience, the plot code, the coordinates, the verification, for the price of a dinner.
Buying for a wedding, a fiftieth birthday, or a retirement, go to the estate tier. Not because the land is different, but because the number on the certificate becomes part of the story when it is read aloud.
What actually changes with size
The plot footprint on the colony map, the square metre figure printed on the certificate, and the position in the registry. That is it. Nothing about the document quality changes, and no tier gets special treatment.
